Matt joined PTL in January 2008 and has a background in documentation and pensions management, having previously worked for Mercer Limited, Hazell Carr and Prudential. Having worked at a life office, consultancy and Independent Trustee Company gives Matt a wide understanding of the workings of pension arrangements.
As a Manager based in PTL’s Birmingham Office, Matt’s responsibilities include working closely with Client Directors and individually liaising with Employers, Trustees and Members to ensure the smooth running of their pension schemes. His emphasis on clear communications helps colleagues, advisers and sponsors to focus on the key decisions and their impact on the longer-term objectives. Matt’s current portfolio of clients covers ongoing, paid-up, winding-up schemes and Employer DC Governance Committees. In addition, Matt provides secretarial services for a number of pension schemes and also works closely with clients in relation to risk registers and internal controls.
Matt particularly enjoys resolving issues in a fair and pragmatic way ensuring that the right result is reached for the member or employer and being diligent in progressing matters between meetings, managing robust governance.
