Featured Face: Sheryl Heath

At PTL we pride ourselves on being personable. Meet Administrator Sheryl Heath.

What was your favourite subject at school? Worst?

My favourite subject was Business Studies and my worst was definitely History!

Do you have a nickname?

I have lots of nicknames – Sheath, Squirrel, Shezza, Bez, Beryl, Shelby, Chub – the list goes on I answer to most things.

If you had to be classified as a member of a “generation” which would it be?

I think I should be slightly older than what I am because I love the 90s – just wasn’t old enough at the time to appreciate it!

What was the first record that you bought?

I think it was a Take That album…cringe!

What was the last concert you went to?

Joe, Jagged Edge and 112.

What did you want to be when you were at school?


What was your first job?

Working at Rusts – now a Co-op as a checkout girl.

How did you start in the pensions profession?

Through Candace Benger – it’s completely new to me so a lot to learn.

What is your favourite book and film?

I don’t really read that many books but film I think my favourite film has to be “Save The Last Dance” and all Disney films – I’m a bit of a Disney fanatic!

Do you support a sporting team?

I do like football! Don’t really have a team though – My dad and brothers would like me to say Liverpool!

What three adjectives would your colleagues use to describe you?

Friendly, witty and definitely honest (maybe too honest).

What aspect of pensions legislation or provision would you change if you could?

I’m not sure – I don’t have enough knowledge to have an opinion yet.

Should saving into a pension be compulsory? 


When was the last time you lost your temper?

I don’t know I don’t really lose my temper that often.

What was the last “bargain” you got?

I get lots of bargains – bit of a shopaholic.

What is your favourite meal and drink?

My favourtie meal has to be a roast dinner with all the trimmings! And drink would have to be a Relentless energy drink or a WooWoo cocktail!

What is the biggest bet you ever placed and did you win?

I’m not much of a gambler so I only do the lottery ever now and again.

Who would be your ideal dinner guest?

James Corden.

What was the last country you visited?


How do you plan to spend your retirement years?

With my nearest and dearest.

Take all my loved ones on an amazing holiday and buy a nice house.

Sheryl joined PTL as an Administrator in April 2014. She assists the Client Directors & Managers in their day to day roles. Sheryl is new to the pensions industry and is looking forward to the challenges and skill development it will bring.
