What was your favorite subject at school?
Favourite subject was art and technical drawing.
Do you have a nickname?
Generally just shortened to Debs.
If you had to be classified as a member of a “generation” which would it be?
What was the first record that you bought?
Simple Minds LP.
What was the last concert you went to?
Hillsong at O2 Arena.
What did you want to do when you were at school?
Something to do with technical drawing.
What was your first job?
Student job at Sainsbury’s and children’s summer camp worker in America during the summer holidays.
How did you start in the pensions profession?
Working for a large occupational pension scheme – GEC Pension Plan.
What is your favourite book and film?
My favourite book is “Destined to Reign” by Joseph Prince and my favourite film is “Pirates of the Caribbean”.
Do you support a sporting team?
West Ham United and Greenbay Packers.
What three adjectives would your colleagues use to describe you?
Conscientious, kind, and diligent.
What aspect of pensions legislation or provision would you change if you could?
Put a stop to reclaiming retrospective overpayments from pensioners.
Who is the most irritating person in the industry or public eye?
Posh and Becks.
Who is the most influential person in the pensions industry?
Chancellor of the Exchequer.
Should saving into a pension be compulsory?
Pension or ISA?
What is your worst habit?
When was the last time you lost your temper?
In a morning trying to get 3 children out of the house on time for school!
What was the last “bargain” you got?
A convertible Mercedes car!
What is your favourite meal and drink?
Roast beef dinner and home made apple pie and glass of wine.
Favourite drink has to be cup of lady grey tea, boring but keeps me going through the day.
What is the biggest bet you ever placed and did you win?
About $20 in Las Vegas approx 20 years ago and yes.

Debbie’s role as a Pensions Manager at PTL utilises her wide knowledge of scheme administration and liaising with all scheme advisers to be efficient at managing ongoing schemes as well as managing schemes through the winding up process, whether being bought out separately or through FAS and the PPF, bringing good Trustee Secretarial skills to her clients.
