Find out first hand, what it’s like being a professional trustee at PTL from Eddie Hopkins
Eddie joined PTL in July 2011, having worked in the Corporate Benefits market for over 28 years, gaining a wide knowledge of Corporate Pensions and Group Risk Insurance. In his role as Manager, he assists our clients in running their pension schemes in an efficient and compliant way whilst helping them to secure their long term strategic objectives.
What do you do?
Manage the client’s pension arrangements.
But what does that really mean?
We take the hassle, complication and tasks involved in the trusteeship of a pension scheme away from the client, to allow them to get on with their “day job”.
What are the most interesting aspects of your role?
The dealings with the clients, getting to know them and the satisfaction of being able to help them.
What skills/qualifications do you need to be a manager at PTL?
Apart from needing a very good all round understanding of the pensions world, I would say that just as important is to be a good listener and communicator.
What sets PTL apart from other firms of Professional Trustees?
We show that being a professional trustee is not about finding one last job before retirement.
